Director of Sales

TV News Cast Director
WBRZ is seeking an experienced and dynamic TV News Cast Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing live and pre-recorded newscasts, ensuring smooth production flow, and maintaining the technical quality of our broadcasts. Must have proven experience as a TV News Cast Director or in a similar role, familiarity with news production workflows and control room operations, ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and in high-stress situations,excellent communication and leadership skills to work with diverse teams, flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of production switchers, graphics systems, and broadcast automation software (experience with systems like VizRT, Grass Valley, and Crispin is a plus).
Responsibilities:
- Direct live news broadcasts, breaking news, and special programming with precision and professionalism.
- Collaborate with producers, anchors, and other newsroom staff to execute high-quality newscasts.
- Manage timing, cues, and transitions during broadcasts to ensure flawless execution.
- Operate and manage production control room equipment, including switchers, audio boards, and video playback systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during live broadcasts.
- Ensure all elements of a newscast are visually and technically sound.
- Lead a team of operators and crew, providing clear direction during high-pressure situations.

Investigative Reporter

A successful candidate should have a knack for navigating complex stories and holding officials accountable. Master Control Operator
Are you a tech-savvy professional with a passion for the broadcasting industry? If so, we would like to invite you to apply for our Master Control Operator position at WBRZ. As a Master Control Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the on-air content quality and accuracy of our broadcast, acquiring and organizing media content, monitoring and controlling the transmission equipment, and troubleshooting technical issues.

WBRZ Account Executive
WBRZ- TV is looking for a highly motivated and competitive business professional who is a self-starter to sell advertising solutions to local businesses including digital asset strategies.
The applicant is expected to:
- Manage and grow an existing account list,
- Develop new business,
- Employ excellent communication and organizational skills
- Meet all revenue and new business goals for multiple entities.
Required Experience:
Ad sales experience is preferred, including knowledge of Comscore ratings, Power Point and other Windows-based software. A college degree and advertising sales experience is preferred.

Internships
WBRZ offers internships each semester in the following departments: News, Marketing, Information Systems, Production, Graphics, Sports, and Weather. Interns will experience firsthand the daily operations of the department and will perform various duties as assigned. Student must be enrolled in a station approved college/university and be approved by the college dean/advisor/chair to take an internship course for curriculum credit and grade.
