A pair of fronts will bring cooler air and lower humidity to the Capital Area. The first one is moving through this morning, with the second reinforcing front expected on Friday.

Today & Tonight: Be careful on the roadways this morning, as the roads are damp thanks to some showers. Any remaining showers should come to an end around 8-9am, with clearing skies for the rest of the day. Highs will top out in the upper 70s, with lower humidity making it feel very nice outside. Overnight, lows will reach into the mid to lower 50s, which means bring the jackets back out!

Up Next: Thursday will feature lots of sunshine, lower humidity, and highs near 80 degrees. On Friday, cloud cover will increase as another front pushes through. While a few showers will be possible, most will stay dry. Temperatures will decrease even more over the weekend. Highs will top out in the mid-70s, with lows in the low 50s and upper 40s. Some clouds will stick around, but rain chances will be near zero, so expect an overall great weekend of weather!

The Tropics: An area of low pressure is expected to form over the next day or so along a weakening front a few hundred miles south of Bermuda. This system could gradually acquire some subtropical characteristics late this week or this weekend while it moves slowly eastward over the western and central subtropical Atlantic. By early next week, environmental conditions are forecast to become unfavorable for further development.
