BATON ROUGE - For the first time since the last time Will Wade was the head coach of LSU men's basketball, the Tigers have landed a five-star prospect. 2027 guard King Gibson announced that he is committing to LSU on ESPN2.

The recruiting website Rivals has Gibson ranked as the No. 1 combo guard for the class of 2027. Gibson chose the Tigers over schools like Arkansas, Louisville, and Providence. Wade had actually offered Gibson back when he was the head coach at NC State.

Wade now has two high schoolers committed in the 2027 class. Gibson joins forward Ahmad Hudson, who is also set to play football for LSU.
