BATON ROUGE — The Southern University Jaguars are back on The Bluff this weekend for their Homecoming game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday.

Saturday's return to Baton Rouge comes after a 35-17 loss to Jackson State that highlighted existing issues: inconsistency and slow starts on both sides of the ball.

Going into their homecoming game, the Jags are 2-3, and coach Marshall Faulk was expected to share more about what the team is doing to prepare for the game after Tuesday's practice, but the news conference was canceled due to power outages on Southern's campus.

The Jags and the Golden Lions face off at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
