New medical facility opens in Zachary after giving JP an exclusive look earlier this year

ZACHARY - The new and improved Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary had its ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday.
Officials gave JP an exclusive look inside the new building earlier this year on Sunday Journal, but on Tuesday, a ribbon cutting officially opened the facility to the public.
"We're really excited, it's a game changer for the community to be able to provide the best care and best facilities that we can, so we're really excited about it, excited about getting to open this facility soon," Lane Marketing Director Jon Hirsch said at the ribbon-cutting for the new facility.
The hospital formally opens in September pending approval by the Louisiana Department of Health.
