BATON ROUGE — The westbound side of U.S. 190 on the Huey P. Long Bridge will be closed this weekend as crews work to replace a failing joint at the east end of the bridge in Baton Rouge.
The closure, which starts Friday at 7 p.m. and extends through noon on Tuesday, will also close the I-110 southbound ramp connecting Harding Boulevard to U.S. 190 westbound, state transportation officials said.
Westbound motorists will be detoured to I-110 southbound, I-10 westbound and La. 415 northbound. Drivers should allow additional travel time, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said.
