ST. FRANCISVILLE — After more than a week of searching, law enforcement agencies have spent more than 2,500 hours looking for Madison Allen and Stephanie Hevia on a 15-acre property in West Feliciana Parish,  the sheriff's office said.

Around a dozen law enforcement agencies have been in and out of the property every day. The property contains a thick tree line and backs up to Thompson Creek.

The search is connected to 43-year-old Thomas Morris, who lived in a home on the property.

Neighbor Chuck Spillman is very familiar with the area's terrain and layout.

"The ground is very hilly and a lot of hollers in this area," said Spillman.

Searchers have used equipment including cadaver dogs and ground-penetrating radar. Large areas have been dug up, but people close to the search said the only thing uncovered so far were animal bones.

"I just really don't believe there's nothing there," said Spillman.

Sheriff Brian Spillman is confident the women's bodies are on the property.

According to the sheriff's office, Stephanie Hevia was last seen living there with Morris last year.

"Knowing that she could possibly be on the property, it's relieving in a way, because we want that closure. We want to bring Stephanie home," said Lily Pearley, Stephanie's sister.

Madison Allen has been missing since 2023 and was reportedly living with Morris at his former home in Zachary. That property was searched earlier in the week but, Zachary Police reportedly found nothing.

"I am confident that my baby is going to be brought home. She's not going to come home the way I wish she would, but she's going to come home," said Lynn Rollins, Madison's mom.

Sheriff Spillman released a statement Friday saying, "Although we aren't able to provide the families with the answers they seek right now, that doesn't mean this is over."
