BATON ROUGE — The LSU Department of Bands is holding two jazz concerts on campus in November.

On Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m., the LSU Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Doug Stone, and the LSU Jazz Lab Band, led by John Madere, take the Union Theater stage for "LSU Big Bands in Concert," a celebration of America’s original art form. Tickets can be purchased here.

Two weeks later, on Nov. 24, the LSU Chamber Jazz Ensembles are performing a concert featuring classic small group jazz repertoire from a variety of eras. This show will be at the Turner-Fischer Recital Hall in the music building at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available here.

Both Stone and Madere joined 2une In on Tuesday to share more about the concerts and their weekly jam sessions at Classic Vinyls every Wednesday night starting at 6 p.m.
