'Bring on Bama:' Winding back clock to Game of the Century Part Two during LSU's perfect 2019 season
BATON ROUGE — LSU and Alabama's rivalry is returning to Baton Rouge this weekend.
As the Tigers prepare to face the Crimson Tide, WBRZ's John Pastorek winds back the clock to 2019.
The Tigers, led by Joe Burrow, went against Bama in an offensive shootout in the middle of LSU's legendary undefeated season.
The Nov. 9 game in Tuscaloosa was billed as the Game of the Century Part Two as No. 2 LSU faced No. 3 Alabama, with an audience that included President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
In the second quarter, LSU was up by three when Burrow hit a wide-open Terrace Marshall for a 29-yard touchdown pass.
The Tigers then built a 20-point lead at halftime, eventually winning the game 46-41.
The win catapulted the Tigers to the SEC Championship and a National Championship to cap off a perfect 15-0 season.
