BATON ROUGE — One woman was killed and a man was injured in a Highland Road apartment shooting Sunday morning, the Baton Rouge Police Department said. 

A man and woman were shot around 8:45 a.m. at Elevate at Highland apartments, formerly The Hub, according to BRPD Deputy Chief William Clarida. Both were taken to a hospital, where the woman died and the man is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Clarida said.
