HALFTIME: Southern and Alcorn State tied 14-14
BATON ROUGE - The Southern football team is tied 14-14 with Alcorn State at halftime of Saturday's SWAC matchup at A.W. Mumford Stadium.
After the Braves opened the scoring with a touchdown in the first quarter, Southern quarterback Noah Bodden's 15-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and ensuing extra point made it a 7-7 game.
Later in the second quarter, Bodden connected with Datraveon Brown on a 37-yard pass for a touchdown, giving the Jaguars a 14-7 lead
Alcorn State's Xzavier Vaughn tied the game up at 14 with an eight-yard touchdown run with 55 seconds left in the half.
