Hunters for the Hungry 'Clean Out Your Freezer Day' set for Aug. 23
BATON ROUGE - Louisiana hunters who want to make room in their freezers for the upcoming hunting season and provide meals for those in need can donate fish, meat, and other frozen foods during "Clean Out Your Freezer Day" on Aug. 23.
The annual event is organized by Hunters for the Hungry Louisiana. The group accepts properly packaged, labeled and dated game, fish, protein and other frozen food.
Hunters interested can drop off food at the following locations on Aug. 23 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.:
