Man faces murder charges following series of fatal stabbings along Ashland Drive in Houma
HOUMA — A man was arrested on Sunday in connection with a series of stabbings along Ashland Drive in Houma that left four people dead and a juvenile in critical condition.
According to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office deputies initally responded to Ashland Drive where they located a boy under the age of 10 suffering from multiple stab wounds. The juvenile was flown to the hospital in critical condition but has since been stabilized.
During the investigation, it was discovered that four people were fatally stabbed in two separate residences on one property along Ashland Drive. Two people were killed in a mobile home on the property, with two additional people being murdered in a camper located in the backyard.
Deputies later arrested 47-year-old Kaegan Solet in relation to the stabbings. Solet was transported to the hospital with injuries related to the attacks and will face several charges upon his release, including four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
