One person in 'serious' condition after reported shooting on North Foster
BATON ROUGE - A man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly throwing a brick through a truck's windshield as it was traveling down Madison Avenue and then shooting the driver when they stopped the vehicle.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said 40-year-old Edwin Curry threw a brick into the windshield of a man's truck. When the driver stopped to call for authorities, Curry went into a home and grabbed a rifle. Police said he shot the victim multiple times.
During investigation, police said that Curry was at the scene and taken into custody without incident. The victim was taken to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Curry was booked for attempted second-degree murder, damage to property, aggravated damage to property, illegal use of a weapon, obstruction of justice and felon in possession of a firearm.

BRPD said Curry has been arrested multiple times since 2002. Court records show he had an active warrant from 2023 for felon in possession of a firearm.
