REPORT: LSU lands former Notre Dame DE days after becoming eligible for fifth season
BATON ROUGE - LSU is adding a veteran piece to its defensive line after a state court ruling opened the door for him to return for a fifth season of college football.
According to ESPN College Football Senior Writer Pete Thamel, former Notre Dame defensive end Junior Tuihalamaka has committed to the Tigers after spending the past four seasons with the Fighting Irish.
Tuihalamaka appeared in 54 games at Notre Dame, making six starts. He finished his career with 61 tackles, including nine tackles for loss, and four sacks.
He is one of 15 former college football players, including former LSU EDGE Jack Pyburn, who were granted a temporary restraining order Wednesday, allowing them to return to college football for a final season.
