Savannah Bananas will return to Baton Rouge as part of 2027 Banana Ball World Tour
BATON ROUGE — The Savannah Bananas are bringing their high-energy "Banana Ball" phenomenon back to Baton Rouge on March 4 and 6 as part of their 2027 Banana Ball World Tour, the team announced during a livestream Thursday evening.
The exhibition squad—known for their synchronized dance routines, stilts-wearing pitchers and fast-paced gameplay—will play 2 games against the Firefighters at LSU's Alex Box Stadium and Tiger Stadium.
Unlike traditional baseball, Banana Ball operates under a fast-moving, two-hour time limit where every inning counts for a point, walks are banned, and fans catching a foul ball earn their team an out.
