WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. - The injury bug has not been kind to the New Orleans Saints during training camp and the offseason. Alvin Kamara's MCL strain, which is expected to sideline him for at least a month, is the latest in a string of bad breaks for a Saints team that was seemingly having a good lead up to the regular season.

Despite the list of injuries getting longer and longer, head coach Kellen Moore isn't hitting the panic button.

"That's the unfortunate part of football," said Moore. "There's risk associated with football as far as injuries. We do our best to control the environment as best we can. We're navigating it right now, and I think our guys will be as well prepared as they can for the season."

Moore also sees an opportunity to get a closer look at his running back room with Kamara getting injured.

"This is going to be a hard group to sort out. They're all talented; they all can play on Sundays at a really high level. I love this group, and so, for them, there will be some potentially more opportunities in these joint practices and these games, which should be great for them."

The Saints are set to play the Los Angeles Rams for their second preseason game on Saturday, Aug. 21.
