ZACHARY — The Zachary Fire Department put out a house fire caused by electrical issues that broke out Tuesday along Lakecrest Drive. 

Firefighters were called to the home around 11:30 a.m. to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the attic.

The fire was quickly brought under control and investigators learned that it started within a wall void space. Investigators said the fire broke out due to an electrical issue. 

The home sustained smoke and fire damage to both its interior and exterior.
