BATON ROUGE — One person was injured in a Thursday night shooting on Comish Drive, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department. 

The department said officers arrived around 4:05 p.m. to find a person suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim allegedly told officers that he was outside washing his dog when he was shot by an unknown person. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
