BATON ROUGE — 44,000 cans of Walmart Great Value fruit cocktail were recalled due to possible lead contamination, according to the FDA.

The recall was designated as Class II, meaning that consumption or exposure to the recalled fruit cocktail could “cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.”

The 15-ounce cans have a lot code of 6FCB 04 C2263 and a “best if used by” date of “SEP 01 2027” printed on them. The recall was initiated on Oct. 1.
