DONALDSONVILLE — A boil water advisory that was issued earlier this week following a water line break in Modeste has been lifted, Ascension Parish utilities officials said Friday. 

Homes on La. 405 from La. 1 north to Brou Road were told to boil water on Wednesday evening after experiencing low water pressure while crews worked to isolate the break and make the necessary repairs. 

On Friday morning, the Louisiana Department of Health determined, based on satisfactory water samples, that the boil water advisory could be lifted.
