BATON ROUGE — Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge will host the People of Hope Museum in October.

The museum will be hosted at St. George Catholic Church and School, 7880 Saint George Dr., Baton Rouge. It will be open from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 24 and noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 25. The event is free for all attendees.

The museum is a nationwide storytelling project centered on Christian service. It features more than 40 video stories from staff and volunteers at Catholic Charities agencies across the country.

Visitors can record their own stories of hope and service, try an interactive poverty simulator and listen to book excerpts about poverty, social isolation, bridgebuilding and community action. The museum also focuses on poverty in Louisiana and across the United States.
