CATS to end service on routes early on Sunday for professional development
BATON ROUGE — The Capital Area Transit System will operate on adjusted hours on Sunday as the agency holds a professional development day for its employees.
Service on select routes will end earlier than usual, with final trips scheduled to end at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The professional development day gives bus operators, dispatchers, maintenance technicians and frontline staff dedicated time for training, safety and customer service development.
“Investing in our team is investing in our riders,” said Theo Richards, CEO of CATS. “A dedicated development day helps our employees grow so we can keep delivering the safe, dependable service our community counts on.”
