ZACHARY — At least one person is unresponsive after a Tuesday morning crash involving an Acadian ambulance along La. 19 in Zachary. 

The crash happened just before 8 a.m. A spokesperson for Acadian said that a person in a car involved in the crash was unresponsive, while one of their medics was trapped as a result of the crash.

Several Acadian units, including AirMed, were deployed to the scene.

After the crash, there were road blockages in both directions of La. 19 after the roadway was briefly closed.
