PAINCOURTVILLE — On Wednesday, crews will be conducting fire hydrant tests along La. 70 in Paincourtville. 

According to the local volunteer fire department, the tests will be in the direction of Gator Corner up to Sportsman's Landing.

Residents may notice fluctuating water pressure and some discoloration of the water, officials said.

"Annual hydrant testing is a requirement in order to keep accurate records of out-of-service hydrants and hydrants in need of repairs to keep them working properly," the fire department said in a statement.
