CONVENT — The Sunshine Bridge will see daily lane closures for a few weeks as crews perform inspections, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development said.

The closures began Monday, with the right eastbound lane shut down from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day through Aug. 28. 

Approximately two weeks later, the right lane going west will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day from Sep. 14 through Sep. 25. 

The DOTD reminds motorists to be extra cautious when driving through work zones.
