ExxonMobil announces Star STEM teacher grants applications are now open
BATON ROUGE— ExxonMobil Baton Rouge and the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System have opened the next round of applications of the Star STEM Teacher Grant Program.
The Star STEM grants provide funding for fourth through 12th grade teachers to bring innovative and hands-on STEM experiences to their classrooms. ExxonMobil and the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System are looking for creative STEM ideas, such as experiments, robotics, coding and engineering, to foster academic excellence and inspire a love of learning across Baton Rouge public schools.
Twenty educators, teaching fourth to 12th grade, will be awarded $2,500 to create and develop hands-on classroom-based STEM projects. Star STEM grant applications opened on Sept. 15 and will close on Oct. 15. The winners will be announced in November.
