OXFORD - Law enforcement officers from Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama will work together on security for the LSU and Ole Miss game in Oxford on Saturday, an event that could bring more than 350,000 people to the Mississippi college town. 

Oxford Police Department spokesperson Breck Jones said that while the National Guard will not be deployed, nearly two dozen mounted officers from Louisiana and Mobile, Alabama, will be working on Saturday. 

Louisiana State Police said troopers will be working closely with LSU, Ole Miss and the Mississippi Highway Patrol to ensure safety for players and coaching staff. 

No information on specific security plans or the number of officers for gameday will be released until after the event.
