BATON ROUGE - Police are searching for a driver who hit a pedestrian along N. Sherwood Forest Boulevard and left the scene. 

According to authorities, the hit-and-run crash happened on Sept. 11 shortly before 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Glenda Drive.

Officials said a man was trying to cross the street when he was struck and left in the road. He was found and taken to a hospital afterward.
