BATON ROUGE — Scotlandville Magnet High School closed early Tuesday following a power outage, the school said on Facebook.

The closure was announced just before 1 p.m. and was done out of an abundance of caution, school officials said. 

Buses were called and began to run their routes once arriving to campus. 

"We will remain open and supervise students until every student is able to safely make their way home," officials said in a statement.
