BATON ROUGE - A mother is looking for answers and asking people to come forward after her daughter was killed in a barrage of gunfire outside an afterhours club early Sunday.

THE CRIME
Baton Rouge Police Chief TJ Morse said that officers collected more than 160 shell casings outside of the club at 3535 Choctaw Dr., where 24-year-old Prenesha Wagner was killed and five others were injured.

Morse said that women were fighting outside the blue building. Joining the chaos, men in the crowd pulled guns and started shooting at one another. A BRPD officer in the area heard the shots and drove toward the gunfire, firing shots toward at least one of the shooters.

Officers detained multiple people for questioning, impounded eight cars and confiscated six guns.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Prenesha's mother, Lisa Wagner, joined Chief Morse's plea for information.

"Please come forward," she said. "She didn't deserve it."

Morse asked for anyone with video - especially of the fight - to send it to BRPD or CrimeStoppers.

THE BIG BLUE HOUSE
According to promotions on social media, an entertainment group called "Allnite ENT" was operating the afterhours club. Information from the Secretary of State's office shows that the listed owner for that LLC is Calvin Leverson.

Social media pages for the entertainment group say that they operated two afterhours clubs in the city: one on Osage Street near Plank Road and the other along Choctaw Drive near North Acadian Thruway. Afterhours clubs in Baton Rouge stay open past 2 a.m., the required time for bars and places that serve alcohol to stop selling drinks.

According to social media, The Big Blue House has only been open for two months and had its grand opening on April 25, 2025.

State data said Leverson's LLC was revoked in May 2024. He's not listed on any other current business filings in the state.

Parish records show that Leverson was arrested in February just feet away from his Osage Street club. A BRPD report said that Leverson had a stolen gun that was recently fired in the area and the bullets damaged vehicles nearby. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for illegal possession of a stolen firearm, illegal use of a weapon and simple criminal damage to property. The case went to a grand jury, which decided there was not enough evidence to bring charges.

A call to Leverson was not returned.
