PONCHATOULA — Two brothers were arrested after allegedly burglarizing a store along La. 22 in Ponchatoula.

Deputies said that Travis and Keith Gill, 41 and 46, respectively, were both arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with the July 21 burglary.

The brothers allegedly damaged several areas of the market while trying to break in, including smashing the glass of the front double doors. The pair, Tangipahoa Parish deputies said, stole multiple items from behind the counter, including cartons of cigarettes.

The Gills were previously involved in a burglary at the same store, deputies noted.

Both brothers were booked into the parish jail on simple burglary charges.
