Two men arrested on drug charges following search warrant on Larchwood Drive
BATON ROUGE — Two men were arrested on drug charges following the execution of a search warrant, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.
The warrant was executed on Oct. 7 by the Special Investigation Unit along with the Special Response Team on Larchwood Drive.
During the investigation, officers seized cocaine, sublingual strips of suboxone, and money, leading to the arrest of 39-year-old Byron Smith and 40-year-old Dontete George.
Smith, who has a criminal history involving various weapon and drug charges, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute Schedule II and Schedule III, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
George, whose criminal history includes possession with intent to distribute and illegal carrying of a weapon, was arrested for possession with intention to distribute Schedule II.
