BATON ROUGE — Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux today unveiled the interior renderings for its new, next-generation sports bar, offering a first look at how the brand is reimagining its restaurant prototype.

Designed by Madrid-based restaurant design firm Livit, the new flexible model will feature a 3,500- to 4,500-square-foot footprint, compared to the brand's traditional 7,000- to 8,000-plus-square-foot format.

The first location to bring the new design to life will open on Perkins Road in Baton Rouge in early 2027, spanning approximately 3,688 square feet and seating 125 guests.

Rather than one fixed layout, the design is built as a flexible "kit of parts," allowing franchisees to select or add key elements based on market, site and personal preference, while preserving the high-energy sports-viewing experience and hospitality that define Walk-On's.

The new interior design brings several new and reimagined elements to the Walk-On's experience, including:

-Enhanced sports-viewing experience: A large-scale TV wall and upgraded A/V package create a stronger visual impact and keep sports at the center of the guest experience.
-A more efficient kitchen: New equipment, including clamshell grills, is designed to simplify training, improve consistency and reduce ticket times, without losing the ability to serve Walk-On's full menu.
-A reimagined bar: The bar remains the center of the restaurant, with a peninsula-style configuration that can be adapted to different layouts.
-Dedicated third-party delivery pickup: Pickup cubbies near the hostess stand create a designated space for Uber Eats, DoorDash and other delivery orders without disrupting the restaurant flow.
-Community-focused design: Localized wall elements showcase area high schools, athletes, jerseys and other community touchpoints, giving each restaurant a strong local feel.
-Flexible lounge area: A dedicated lounge area can accommodate casual seating, larger groups and game-day gatherings, while also serving as additional dining space when needed.
-Outdoor sports viewing: A patio TV wall extends the game-day experience outdoors and adds visibility and energy to the restaurant's exterior.
-Fan-centric welcome and host stand: The host stand will double as a brand merchandise station for guests to shop for gear to rep their favorite sports bar.

"We wanted to rethink what the Walk-On's experience can look like without losing what makes us Walk-On's," said Brandon Landry, CEO and co-founder of Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux. "The new design gives our franchisees more flexibility in where and how they build, while keeping the energy, hospitality and community connection our guests know and love."

The new prototype builds on lessons from Walk-On's existing restaurants, including its 3,700-square-foot location at The Battery in Atlanta. The Battery demonstrated that Walk-On's can successfully deliver its full menu and sports-bar experience in a more compact, inline format. The brand is now applying those learnings to a purpose-built prototype designed to give franchisees more options for where and how they develop Walk-On's restaurants.
