Woman arrested in July boat crash on Amite River that injured 4
DONALDSONVILLE - A Denham Springs woman who was allegedly involved in a multi-boat crash along the Amite River, sending two adults and two juveniles to hospitals, was arrested Monday.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents arrested 63-year-old Nanette Normand, whose arrest stems from a three-boat wreck that happened July 18 near Summerville.
WBRZ previously reported that multiple people were thrown into the water from the wreck. Eight patients were assessed. One was taken to a hospital by Airmed and three others were transported in ambulances.
LDWF said of those four, two of the injured were juveniles, and that more than three weeks after the crash, an adult female is still hospitalized from her injuries.
