Zachary teenager reported missing found in Oklahoma; one man arrested for alleged kidnapping
ZACHARY — A 17-year-old from Zachary was found after being reported missing earlier this week, Louisiana State Police said, and reports say a Kentucky man was arrested for allegedly kidnapping her.
LSP initially sent out a Level II endangered/missing child alert around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, but canceled it Wednesday morning after the teen was found. Family members said on Facebook that she was kidnapped and found in Oklahoma.
The Zachary Police Department said officers searched the girl's social media accounts and found she had communicated with a 38-year-old truck driver from Kentucky, Michael Daniel Jay. His phone was tracked to a Love's gas station in Ardmore, Okla.
