BATON ROUGE — The Baton Rouge Police Department is searching for three men who allegedly shot at three vehicles as the Southern University Homecoming Parade was coming to a close.

Kendrick Keller Jr., 18, and Jakhireyus Franklin, 19, are wanted for attempted first-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Two people were injured in the shooting.

Jahiem Johnson, 20, is wanted for principal to attempted first-degree murder.

Arrest documents say the three cars were leaving the parade and driving south on Scenic Highway. The three vehicles had multiple people in the cars, including a twelve-year-old, a five-year-old, and an 11-month-old baby.

One of the victims told police that Franklin, Keller and Johnson jumped out of their car; Keller was holding an AR-15, Franklin was holding a handgun and Johnson was "instigating [the] incident" prior to the shooting, the warrant said.

Arrest documents say earlier in the day, Jaheim Johnson told one of the victims, "We're going to do something about you."

The suspect vehicles fled northbound to Scenic Highway after the shooting, officials said. All three vehicles were struck and damaged by gunfire in the shooting, and the injuries to the two men who were struck were non-life-threatening.
