Deadline to claim millions in state tax refunds is Friday
BATON ROUGE - Louisiana taxpayers have until Friday to claim millions in state tax refunds before they become unclaimed property.
In July, the Louisiana Department of Revenue sent Notice of Unclaimed Property letters to 22,751 residents, advising them to claim their refunds before the funds are transferred to the Unclaimed Property Division. Over $17 million is still left unclaimed.
Taxpayers who received letters from LDR can claim their money by visiting the LDR website or by completing and returning the notice that was sent in July.
