BATON ROUGE - A gas leak along Bluebonnet Boulevard near the Mall of Louisiana shut down traffic for two hours Thursday. 

The St. George Fire Department said around 11:45 a.m. that the westbound lanes of Bluebonnet between Interstate 10 and Picardy Avenue have been blocked off due to a gas leak. 

Around 1:45 p.m., Delta Utilities said the gas leak was secure. 

Officials said the leak was caused when Baton Rouge Water Company crews hit a line while working. 

No injuries were reported.
