Law enforcement, community members participate in Blue Night Out Against Crime Walk
BATON ROUGE — Law enforcement partnered with community members Monday evening in Baton Rouge for the Blue Night Out Against Crime Walk.
Organizers with the Law Enforcement Foundation kicked off the event at the Howell Park Inspiration Center.
BRPD officers and EBRSO deputies met with neighbors and gave the community a chance to engage with law enforcement.
"It's an opportunity for all community organizations and leaders to meet the community where they are. We're able to bring resources to the community and a little fun," said Aishala Burgess, director of the Baton Rouge Office of Violence Prevention.
