Lee Drive to get pothole overlay before larger road widening project in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE — Crews will begin overlaying Lee Drive between Perkins Road and Highland Road at the end of September to address potholes, according to Mayor-President Sid Edwards.
The overlay, which is expected to take a few weeks, is separate from the larger Lee Drive MOVEBER project, which will widen the corridor.

“We’ve heard from residents who are tired of dodging potholes on Lee Drive, and we’re taking action,” Mayor-President Edwards said. “The larger MOVEBR project is still coming, but we’re not going to ignore the condition of the road people are driving on today. This overlay will provide much-needed relief for drivers in the meantime.”
