HAMMOND — Southeastern's Military and Veteran Success recently received donations from the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association and the American Legion Post 156 Auxiliary Group. 

The Combat Vets have donated school supplies to Southeastern's military-connected students, according to Southeastern Louisiana University officials. 

“The Combat Vets Motorcycle Association has been providing school supplies for our students for the past two years,” Director of Military and Veteran Success Emily Anthony said. “They purchase regularly from our Amazon wish list and keep our storage stocked in the office. Any of our military-connected students can come grab them at any time free of charge.”

The American Legion Post 156 also donated financially to the office. 

“The American Legion has donated over $12,000 to our office in different ways,” Anthony said. “Most recently, they gave us the remaining amount needed to fully endow our scholarship for military students.”
