BATON ROUGE - LSU is looking to bounce back against Texas A&M on Saturday night after suffering a 32-24 road loss to Ole Miss last week.

LSU struck first on its second drive of the game as running back Dillin Jones broke off a 36-yard run to move the Tigers to the edge of the Texas A&M red zone. Just a few plays later, Jones took a direct snap across the goal line to give LSU an early 7-0 lead.

With just under nine minutes remaining in the first half, Texas A&M got on the board with a 62-yard drive that ended with a 24-yard field goal, cutting LSU's lead to 7-3.

You can call it the drive of the deep ball! LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt connected with receiver Winston Watkins Jr. for gains of 35 and 36 yards before capping the six-play, 83-yard drive with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Jackson Harris, giving the Tigers a 14-3 lead with less than two minutes remaining in the first half.

The Tigers came out of halftime looking for more! On LSU's opening drive of the third quarter, the Tigers went for it on fourth down, and Leavitt found a wide-open Harris for a 57-yard touchdown to extend LSU's lead to 21-3.

On the ensuing Texas A&M drive, the LSU defense stepped up as linebacker Davhon Keys stopped Aggies running back Carsyn Baker on fourth down, giving the Tigers the ball at the Texas A&M 34-yard line.

Just five plays later, quarterback Landen Clark checked in for a designed run and found the end zone on a 4-yard rush to extend LSU's lead to 28-3 midway through the third quarter.

Texas A&M added a field goal, but LSU quickly answered with a six-play, 75-yard drive capped by another Clark rushing touchdown to extend the Tigers' lead to 35-6 late in the third quarter.

The good times continued to roll for the LSU defense in the fourth quarter as safety Tamarcus Cooley intercepted Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed at the Aggies' 19-yard line.

Clark took over under center on the ensuing possession, but the Tigers were unable to capitalize on the turnover as placekicker Scott Starzyk missed a 24-yard field goal attempt.
