PATTERSON — The Patterson Police Department took part in National Night Out, an event aimed at building trust between officers and the community.

Officers met with residents, playing games and participating in giveaways. People who attended were also treated to free food, music and resources.

Patterson police say the event allows them to put a face to the officers serving the area.
