BATON ROUGE — The U.S. Marshals Service is currently responding to a barricaded fugitive along 73rd Avenue who is wanted for second-degree battery and disturbing the peace.

Marshals say 30-year-old Clarence Green is wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department.

Marshals responded to the scene around 11 a.m.

According to an arrest warrant, Green attacked an employee at Legend Pot, a restaurant at the corner of Staring and Essen lanes, on Aug. 20. Green and two other people were eating dinner at the hot pot and Korean barbecue restaurant and, when presented with the bill, Green disputed it, saying one of the people he was with didn't eat a full meal but was charged full price.

Legend Pot is an all-you-can-eat establishment and has a single set price for each person in a party.

Green and the waiter who presented the party with the check got into an argument. Green's bill was eventually reduced by the manager and he paid it before leaving, the affidavit says.

Green then got out of his companion's car as it was leaving. The affidavit says he proceeded to walk into the restaurant and punched the waiter in the face. Green then left the restaurant.

This is a developing story.
