Twin Oaks Elementary hosts career day for students on Friday afternoon
BATON ROUGE — Students at Twin Oaks Elementary got a look at different career paths during a visit from professionals across the capital area on Friday.
Multiple professionals came to the school, giving students a chance to see what an average workday looks like without leaving campus.
"Our students read with a program called Beable and it relies on their interest. And so they're here looking at things that could be a career path for them later on. And this year we added what kind of reading and what kind of math do I need to do to do this career," Principal Terrie Junda said.
